Such a fun day!!

We went to Nuremberg yesterday with the puppies and had such a great day!! They got to ride on the train for the first time! These dogs have done it all! They rode on the bus the day before too! Our first train was a little older so it made a lot of noise and that scared them a little. On the way home, we had a nicer train and they slept the entire time. Here is a picture of us on the train! Once we got to Nuremberg, there was some sort of festival going on and we caught the tail end of the parade. It was really neat, there were tents set up everywhere selling all kinds of authentic German goodies. We walked around for a little while and then found a restaurant we had been wanting to try (Mexican) :) It was pretty good! The weather has been amazing, so we sat outside with the babes and ate! After lunch we did a little shopping. Some warmer clothes for Tyler and some boots for me to take the puppies outside in. The puppies got their first shopping experience and I have to say they were SO well behaved. They stood in line for the dressing room and everything. Wembley did have a little melt-down in H&M and I had to carry him outside and wait for Tyler to check out. Sometimes he gets a little overwhelmed in crowds. Waiting for daddy to try on jeans... All in all we were AMAZED how well they did in Nuremberg. I was a little worried because it was so crowded, but they walked on their leashes great! If it got too crowded, we just picked them up and carried them. We have decided that Tyler needs to walk Sprocket because he is always so concerned where Tyler is and I will walk Wembley. That seems to be the system that works for us! Oh, Wembley is terrified of the escalators though. Obviously we have to hold them while we go up and down those and he tries to climb over my shoulder. Here are a few more pictures of our day... All tuckered out from so much walking and all the excitement! "I really, really hate the garbage trucks!!" Waiting for our train back to Erlangen So, I promise that this won't turn in to an "all puppy all the time" blog. I was just really excited and impressed with how well behaved they were yesterday! :) We sat with a young girl on the train yesterday who lives in Erlangen and grew up here. She did a tour around the Southeast last year and went to New Orleans, Memphis, Oxford and Atlanta. She loved it. She told us that while she was in Mississippi she was told that "the hot girls are at Ole Miss and the hot guys are at State". That made Tyler's day. :) She gave us some tips on finding a vet and basically confirmed our thoughts that there is nothing to do in Erlangen and if you want to do much, go to Nuremberg. At least there isn't a lot out there that we are missing! When we got back to the apartment, Tyler turned on the tv to ESPN America and the Georgia vs. Arkansas game was on!! We looked it up online to make sure it wasn't last weeks game (we haven't paid much attention to schedules) and it was current!! We were SO excited. After that we got to watch Tennessee/Florida! Well, he watched it, I fell asleep because by that time it was about 10pm and I was tired. But we were very happy to at least be able to catch a few games! We mostly get NFL (late) and MLB. We have decided to be more adventurous and try and cook more at home. We brought a lot of food back with us from the US. I was trying to make blueberry muffins yesterday morning and dropped a glass bottle of olive oil on the kitchen floor. THAT was fun to clean up. I think we are still sliding across the floor. Today, we are having a VERY lazy day...we slept until almost noon and now we are spending the afternoon at Coffini on our computers. It is much colder that we thought it would be, but I am kind of enjoying it. Especially since we don't have a car and walk everywhere, it is nice to not die in the heat. But, those early morning bathroom breaks with the pups are brutal. I think this post is long enough, so I will end it here! Depending on how long we stay at the coffee shop today, I may add honeymoon pictures!
